MARSALA COLOR FOR ’15

Pantone has unveiled its color of the year for 2015 and the reddish burgundy shade of Marsala is a great accent to incorporate into decor, florals, and it makes for a beautiful statement lip for a truly incredible beauty look.

Each year the forward-thinking Trend predictors at Pantone, the world’s leader on color, choose a shade which will be showcased that year as the color for fashion, interiors, beauty and countless other industries.

This year they chose the bold and beautiful Marsala, which has elements of burgundy and brick with merlot wine accents.  We are in love with this beautiful and lush color, which makes the perfect accent shade for fall events and décor.

We are feeling creatively inspired to share some ways you can incorporate Marsala into your next event.  The deep yet neutral shade would be beautiful to add to your bouquet and centerpieces in the form of Cala Lilies, Orchids and large Gardenias. Marsala tablecloths and napkins can add a bold and seductive statement to any event from wedding to wine soirees.  Marsala tinted glass for candleholders can add a very seductive and romantic touch.

Of course, we couldn’t talk about Marsala without mentioning deep red bridesmaids dresses for a truly modern statement. When it comes to the bride herself, we highly recommend the color for a bold and beautiful lip and cheek stain, paired with an understated eye to give a vintage yet contemporary beauty look sure to wow your groom and guests.
